EOGHANACHT, race of Eoghan Mor, son of Oilioll Olum, King of Munster in the 3rd century, which was sub-divided into Eoghanacht Chaisil, Eoghanacht Locha Lein, Eoghanacht Aine, &c., and to which belonged the chief families of South Munster.
